So yeah due to the pandemic we all are confined within our territories without nothing specific to do. During the start one might have binge watched movies or series or even YouTube. Probably the first month would have been full of zest and motivation. Learning new skills, acquiring a new hobby etc would have been part of it too. However as the lockdown months grew, so did boredom.
Of course boredom is great! It makes one more creativity, makes one think. However if being bored makes you anxious or 'just-not-into-life'. Looking forward to the day when this all cures and ends and getting the routine back.
One thing to note is: no matter how difficult it is right now, it will pass. So yes to make this period less troubling, try therapy. Best part of it is that it can be done using the current resources available.
Yes, that's right! Bibliotherapy.
By definition, Bibliotherapy is the use of books as therapy in the treatment of mental or psychological disorders. Basically books can help you sooth down. However it is not limited to the physical ones, audio-books count too. Recently I enrolled for 3 months Amazon's Audible subscription and tried two audio-books - Alchemist and The Fangirl. And trust me, audio-books are lit! You can imagine the things read by the narrator and enhances sleep too (I experienced).
Well I was accustomed to reading books rather than e-books. I found audio-books okay (mostly tried the ones on YouTube ), as in the are wonderful but didn't beat the real ones. However nowadays, I find them epic シ
So yes, try Bibliotherapy and see if it makes an difference in your life. Read books or e-books or listen to audio-books. If you want e-books to feel like real ones, download the e-book in ePUB format and view using Google Play Books. You can change the font size, search for meanings within the file and change the viewing color too! That's how I read e-books... If you were aware of this fact then great! 😉 Rediscover Reading!!
